Origin & History
Hario was founded in Tokyo in 1921 as a maker of laboratory glass. The name is often translated as king of glass. In 1948 the company began making coffee siphons as part of its household range. According to the maker, the V60 launched in 2005.
Positioning
Hario is one of the best-known brands for pour over and accessories, as common in the specialty coffee scene as at home.
Character & profile
Typical is heat-resistant glass, which Hario has worked with for decades. The V60 dripper lets the coffee flow through quickly and emphasises clear, bright flavours.
What to check
