Used and new Bodum coffee machines
Origin & History
Peter Bodum founded Bodum in Copenhagen in 1944. In 1978 his son Jørgen moved the headquarters to Switzerland. The company is still family-owned, run by Jørgen Bodum together with his sister Pia.
Positioning
Bodum makes everyday products for coffee and tea with a focus on simple design and an affordable price. The brand is present in more than 55 countries.
Character & profile
Bodum is best known for French presses. Brewing with a metal filter leaves oils and fine particles in the cup, which gives a full-bodied coffee with a strong body.
What to check
Check the glass for chips and hairline cracks, the plunger for deformation and the filter for wear or corrosion. Make sure the lid with its spout is included. More in the guide to buying coffee machines.
Known series
Well known are Chambord, Brazil and Columbia, among others.
