Used and new Ascaso coffee machines
Origin & History
Jesús Ascaso worked on the Gaggia production line from 1952 to 1962 and founded his own company in Barcelona in 1962, making and distributing spare parts for espresso machines. His son later pushed the move into complete espresso machines. Design and production are still based in Barcelona.
Positioning
Ascaso is a Spanish maker focused on design and compact portafilter machines for the home. The brand says it is present in over 95 countries.
Character & profile
The Dream line stands out with its rounded shapes and many colours, while the Steel line goes for an industrial look with edges and corners. With the Big Dream, Ascaso won the World of Coffee award for best new product in 2018. According to the maker, it replaces all internal components with stainless steel.
What to check
